Does your husband fancy coming to sort out my house lol ! I am very fortunate to have a father in law who is a painter and decorator and a DIY person! My husband is useless lol ! If I want some painting done I do it when husband is at work or away and then I get peace

I had to giggle at the way you managed to get a match on your hallway paint, Sis! Very inventive!
One lesson I learned when attempting the above is:
Don't do it! If I want harmony in the house, it is not worth it, because he is not the most DIY adept person, though he will try...
The best thing for us is to get someone else to do it!
One time my sister in law, who is pretty amazing at decorating, came over and the two of us painted the children's rooms together.
And when we were moving, the whole house needed a lick of paint, so we got the decorators in.
Much more harmonious!
