Oh I wasn’t going to be someone who comments on every post but I just love that you leave notes for future custodians. I’d love to be someone who found things like that in my house. What a beautiful thing to do 😊
Oh I love this. I love to get ideas from looking at what others do. I do have to qualify this however: my chocked full of roosters and pictures of my littles really rustic house is all my own. I wouldn’t ever win any awards for decor but I do enjoy all the color. 🧡
My home is the same no sooner one job has been completed another one appears to bite me on the bum. Then the nagging starts eventually hubby will tackle the problem then whoops another job crops up 🤣😂🤣
I love that you do this Amanda! A little peek into other peoples style and ideas! I have found myself, after divorce, in rented accommodation, at the whim of private landlords, and lost the will to really make something of my space, I used to be so particular. Now, as long as it’s acceptable, doesn’t scream at me, and the landlord does the repairs, I just accept what I have.
I don’t have a creative streak but I’m sure your home is beautiful. Certainly when you’ve posted photographs in various rooms I get house envy. I imagine your home to be warm and welcoming, like you.
It’s like the forth bridge. When you’ve finished it you can go back to the beginning and start again.! 😂
Is there ever such a thing as a perfect interior? I'm sure all those amazing photos of places are mere masks, then as soon as the pic is taken, the kids/pets/partners trash everything!
But I agree, Sis, simple placements of objects, little trinkets, splashes of colour, they all make a difference, and it's wonderful to have a go at your own home!
The newest decorated room was always my favourite. But in the last 10 years not much has changed as my husband ‘doesn’t do change.’ And so if there’s decorating to do he has to agree on colour etc etc.. drives me nuts but it’s what I deserve after years of wanting my current partner at the time to show some interest! Be careful what we wish for, such a hard lesson.
Plus, come back Through The Keyhole and all of those decorating programs! I love a little snooping (lots of actually I’m trying to sound polite haha)
