I have a 3.8kg cat who manages to takeover most of the bed and I end up sleeping right on the edge of the bed.

As for my brothers 38kg black Labrador he literally takes over a king sized bed and brother has decamped to the sofa more than once. And when I stay there to look after him when my brother is on holiday same scenario 🙄

I read this lying on my back, in bed, unable to move as Super Cooper the Cockapoo is fast asleep over my stomach like a dead weight and I don’t want to disturb him! 😂

I love him and wouldn’t have it any other way x

Ours is a golden lab who takes up most of the bed, so can only manage this as part of our morning routine! Cup of tea and extra zzzz in bed, just the 3 of us! Bliss

I don’t have a dog… but I have a cat. Have always had cats and I seem to remember saying something similar about ‘never on the bed’…. My cat sleeps in the kitchen but is allowed to come up onto the bed from time to time and seems to know when the cuddles are particularly beneficial to me. I have to say after spells in hospital it’s comforting to hear gentle purrs and to feel the silky fur beside me.

It ain't just dogs, Sis! Sony Singh is the same, though he chooses when it's time to deign us worthy of his presence, abd will make at his loudest to announce his arrival, with a call off "Well, if you won't wake at 5am to feed me, I'll complain, scratch a few things, then jump on top of you for a snuggle, rendering you immobile, and eventually, you will give up and feed me!"

After feeding, he'll come and settle next to me again, and then will decamp to outside Lil Man's room, at a more respectable 8 am. It's like he knows teens need more sleep!

And FYI, the other day, Sukh was looking at French Bulldog pups!! 🤗

Our pets are our babies, we call ourselves mummy and daddy lol. My children no longer live here so I have to cuddle someone. I’m disabled and spend a lot of time on my bed and during the day our older dog sits on the bed with me. At night there just isn’t the room but I would have them both on it with me if it were big enough. Several times through the night though my cat curls up on my tummy and sleeps while purring contentedly . I do draw the line at letting them lick my face though, their tongues go to their butts too regularly for my liking. But I do love them and soo would have them by me were their room as I said.

Steve was always adamant dogs stayed on the floor and out the bedroom. Along came a border collie and it was love at first sight. One BC on the furniture 🤣then a year later a cavapoo cross came into our lives and yes you’ve guessed she sleeps on the bed. Rules were meant to be broken xxx
