I’m there too most of the time too but I’m heading for the big 70 next week so some might say it’s about time. Small friendship gatherings, family, music, my choir, books and the garden are my favourite things. However an occasional visit to the theatre, especially musicals and also some music gigs still appeal and make me feel young again singing with the crowds. X

I'm more than happy to join you in the 'boring' club. I'm so boring, I would happily sit with you, drinking coffee, whilst I took photos of the wildlife around your garden. My back doesn't allow me to walk too far sadly, but I love being boring in other ways. x

I am very boring by all the things you just wrote. I just started being boring when I was in high school. ♥️

Would be good to see you In Norfolk anytime Amanda, love tea and cake, especially fresh cream ones.I think most of us over 50 enjoy a slower pace of life. Can’t beat it.

I love this ‘boring’ you talk about 🤣 I just love being cosy at home: reading, listening to music and just relaxing. Having said that, I love when my crazy grandchildren visit and bring mayhem too 🤣

For nearly 24 hrs this week, we didn’t have any electricity, no heat, no hot water, no light etc etc.

Besides wanting the problem rectified, I loved my 16 year old daughter reading to me by book light (thank goodness they were charged) I did miss my hot cuppa. But there’s something to be said for spending time with our children, wrapped up in duvet and woolly jumpers reading!

Even Mikey (age 9) said it was not a problem as he would read to dad and do some drawing by battery candle light!

All was back to normal by mid morning, good to know that we can all cope without electronic devices though, previous meltdowns led me to believe otherwise of our children (and husband 🤫 ) xxx

A great post if you are boring there is no hope for me I love nothing more than chilling with a good book or knitting for charity which has helped my mental health so much during this pandemic. Love friends round for tea and cake but only one or two at a time

Absolutely not boring at all, in fact if loving all things cosy is the definition of boring, then that’s me too! I love the pic of your sofa and it looks very inviting. My kind of colour scheme too.

In fact I’ll go as far to say that what I think is boring are homes with no soul.. neutral colours and the loss of nooks and crannies… Where do you snuggle up? I love my duvet, my bath, my garden, music, writing… still struggling there but don’t hate me for self publishing… A Stony Silence by Alison Young on Amazon….I’m boring because I really struggle with IT. I’m boring because I constantly have to ask him indoors for help to retrieve my work…

I love walks in a wood or gazing at the sea, I do enjoy lunches with friends and a good cup of tea. I like flat comfy shoes and just being me. I also write poetry!!

Ten years ago when I lived in France on my birthday instead of jetting off to Hong Kong for the start of a cruise I was having the first surgery to remove the first of many tumours that have subsequently decided to lodge in my bladder. I’m still here to tell the tale, many surgeries later and several blasts of chemo later…. Still they return. BUT I’m very boring when it comes to raising awareness of bladder cancer, I tell everyone about getting checked and get invited to talk to medics about it.. the blood in pee campaign etc. If that makes me boring… so be it!! You my dear Amanda, stop me from being bored when I am visiting hospital, you keep me company. Thank you.

I swear that you live inside my head and bring some sense to the daily jumble. Happy to embrace a slower and kinder pace. Boring is vastly underrated! ❤️
