Your nan pulled no punches with her advice, but it is all sound, and relevant, no matter when it was said!

You're lucky to have had the time with her.

I never met my paternal grandparents, and mum's mum lived in Kenya, so we had limited time together.

But, she showered us with love, and that was just as good! 🥰

Love all of these !! Your Nan sounded wonderful ! One thing that I keep in my mind lately is you could be that bit of sunshine in someone else’s dark world and what I mean by that is I always make sure I say hello or smile when out and about and especially when I am on the till at work at the school I work at I always say hello and smile because you never know what that child is going through so a friendly face can make the difference and because of that I now ended up having lots of conversations with children who 6 months/ year ago wouldn’t of said boo to a ghost and I think if only I had that when I was at school my days might have been a bit better and not so lonely

Louise I love this outlook and you are so right. I think we often underestimate the power of a a smile - so much so, i wrote a book about it! Xxxxx

Aww Amanda, your Nan was a very wise woman, just reminds me of my gran! 😁 the one that we all grew up with was ‘never let it be said your mother had a duffer’, which basically meant ‘just get on with it’ 🤣🤣 we have never dared duff at anything. Bless ‘em! Xx
